There are three main steps involved in building a successful e-Business
Solution:

Formulate
an effective e-business strategy. This strategy should be built around
a sound business model (one that already works or that senior
management feels has a high probability of working within the
organization). It should clearly identify the benefits of adapting the
business model to the Internet and culminate with detailed
requirements for a technology solution to realize these benefits.

Create
a blueprint or architecture that translates the e-business
requirements into an Internet application. An effective architecture
aligns the technology to the business, ensures that the various
components of the application work cohesively, and provides a road map
for its implementation.

Begin
designing, developing, testing, and deploying the e-business
application.
