You can legally link to content on another web site, according to a ruling by a US federal judge. The lawsuit brought by Ticketmaster.com against recent net start-up Tickets.com alleged unauthorized linking to pages deep within its site. Both companies offer event ticket sales online from their respective sites. US District Judge Harry Hupp dismissed the claims saying that web linking was not illegal as long as users understand whose site they were on.
